first day of last term. hohoho!

this first day of the last term is sure to be a memorable one, lol i went to school 6.40 hoping to get first in line for adjustment but goodness, i got number 94! omg! whatever, so i skipped filipi3 and relsfor (i got enrolled before class started) and only attended dirpsy.. hohoho!

i love my sked! no tuesday / thursday classes! but imagine my surprise when mabelle (academic assistant) made my relsfor 2.30 lol i'm supposed to go home at that time! well i just had to cut it. lol

shit, it's first day tomorrow.

time flies when you're having fun - i've proven this statement more than a dozen times already. and just like any fun time, this one has to end too. how pathetic.

i need to be at school tomorrow so early cuz i'll be adjusting *sigh* for my other subjects, lol so probably i won't attend my first 2 classes to adjust, then enrol, then go home. lol

ooohh, back to thesis. there'll be reporting for us and i dunno if i should be happy or sad about it, we're reporting first week of classes (i think).. oh well, at least i'll go to school and not be dumbfounded by their discussions over the da vinci code.. ahihihihiiiii

THE DA VINCI CODE - CAST REVIEW

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.

finally, i was able to watch the movie version of my all-time super duper favorite novel, the da vinci code. i wouldn't say i was too moved by the film, since i already read the book which is a more "moving" medium.

well, let me start with the characters..

TOM HANKS as ROBERT LANGDON - as usual, he steals the show. tom hanks exudes the intelligence that robert langdon-book version always has. even though his hair was balding, you don't see he's ageing. he's also able to charm viewers with some occasional comic lines, breaking the tension. his presence is calming, like whenever there's a tense scene for sophie, his presence always assures her that she is safe.

AUDREY TAUTOU as SOPHIE NEVEU - i love her! her face is so pretty i didn't get tired of looking at her face, close up or far shot. she also has a very cute accent in speaking english. in the book, i kind of found sophie as irritating, immature and pushy but in the movie, she was different. she's the sophisticated, caring, lovely woman who just wants to know why robert langdon was summoned with her by her (spoiler) grandfather.i guess it's all just a matter of perception.

IAN MCKELLEN as LEIGH TEABING - perhaps this character will be the one who will be burned at the stakes if he were alive. but i love the way he used the two canes for walking - amazing! he was the englishman-living-in-france who's a holy grail expert and is obssessed with the priory of sion. he was the one who squealed to sophie the secret of the priory that (spoilers) Mary Magdalene was the Holy Grail whose womb carried the royal bloodline of Jesus Christ. that she escaped to France during Jesus' crucifixion because their unborn child might not survive, and that Mary Magdalene would never be able to establish the Church of Jesus - yes, it was Mary Magdalene he assigned it to, not Peter the Rock.

PAUL BETTANY as SILAS - silas is the character i pity the most in the movie. he was always used for some evil deeds and yet he's always guilty of what he has done. he pretty much has no choice about what to do because the one who saved his life and called him an "ANGEL" (a once-in-a-lifetime experience for him, he was always called a ghost because he was an albino) was the one asking him to do such things.

JEAN RENO as BEZU FACHE - hahaha! our favorite character! my friends and i never tired out of pointing out as many policemen around us "Bezu" whenever we see one. hahaha. ok, the Bezu i pictured in the book looked like Triple H from WWE Raw - fierce, BIG, and scary. but Jean Reno seemed ehem, calmer but with the same goal nonetheless.

ALFRED MOLINA as BISHOP ARINGAROSA - i'm sorry but, book and movie version alike, he never seemed like a bishop to me. i don't know why but i always saw him as a money-hungry-i'd-do-everything-to-please-the-Teacher thing. he is Silas' savior, the one who called him an angel because it was Silas who saved him while he was being rambled on by some people.

the Teacher - he disguises himself as the last living descendant of Jesus / Magdalene (ok, so you probably know it already) and calls Opus Dei bishop Manuel Aringarosa and asks him to persuade the Council of Shadows to give them a big amount of money to create a new headquarters for the Opus Dei. he ordered Aringarosa to have Jacques Sauniere murdered as well as the three senechaux (the next in line to Sauniere) to extract the secret of the Holy Grail.

Jacques Sauniere - the curator of the Louvre Museum, who is also the current Grandmaster of the Priory of Sion, and is Sophie's (spoiler)foster grandfatherwho took care of her after her family's accident. he was murdered by Silas because he holds a secret that the Catholic Church have killed millions for. He left a message beside him, which causes Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu to meet together and solve the whole mystery as well.

okay, so actually i guess i expected more of the movie than what i got. i wasn't really disappointed, but you know the feeling of having read the book and you know there are many scenes that are left out that should be included. lol i guess it's the call of the screenplay already, lol.

the da vinci code

this morning i went to gateway with my mom, she went shopping for bags while i went up to the top floor, yes, their cineplex to get some tickets to watch the Da Vinci Code wit my friends tonite. my, my.. the line was loooooooooooooooong! i mean the usual 5 minute line to get movie tickets became 45 minutes of waiting! lol but it's worth it.. the feeling of getting hold of the tickets feels like a mother who has just given birth to a child. or maybe i'm exaggerating, hahahaha. whatever. tonite i'll be posting my blabbing review about it. i'm so excited!!

Hester from http://masquerade.hydeist.org/index.php sent me the 2 versions of gackt's vanilla PV.. the hyper one and the laid-back one. akki? patty? where are you, goodness! nakakahawa ung sayaw nia! hahahahaha.. it's so contagious even though i think gackt's "dancing" freaks me out cuz the more he tries to sway his hips, all i see is his might super saiyan 2 son goku hair. but i gotta applaud him, i think he's born for the business, every twitch of his eyebrows and movement of his hands is really natural. too bad he can't dance like this!!

hhmm..

okay, some of may be wondering "wtf is a hyperactive anemone?" lol. actually it came from a meganame generator i got from http://www.blogthings.com and i got a funny "hyperactive anemone" band name from it. i kinda like the way it sounds cuz it's so weird and doesn't make sense at all, cuz anemone is a flower (i think there's also a sea creature named anemone) but the best reason among all is that my all-time music savior l`arc~en~ciel also has a song of the same title. hahaha whatever. and hyperactive cuz.. i dunno.. eeekk.

and the android thing.. hahahaha. i was listening to another l`arc song, metropolis and the first word sung in the song was "ANDOROIDO".. i found it so cute so i put it in. lol ah whatever. you'd probably even be thinking "why on earth am i reading this? this is just soooo weird" lol
